Daring to Dream Inclusive Dreams

SAVE THE DATE! 5/17/2012 "Daring to Dream Inclusive Dreams"

Please join the Mohawk Valley Down Syndrome Support Group on May 17, 2012 for  "Daring to Dream Inclusive Dreams, Utilizing Our Collective Power to Include".  This conference topic has been fueled by the ground-breaking and important documentary entitled "Including Samuel",and by local self-advocates and parents of children with disabililties who are fighting for classroom inclusion and the promotion of people with disabilities. "Daring to Dream Inclusive Dreams" will feature renowned authority Dr. Julie Causton-Theoharis of Syracuse University.  She will offer proven strategies and ideas for classroom inclusion.  Please spread the word and share the attached card with all school and support staff, and family and friends. Please note that the date was chosen to avoid inservice days, which are often already booked for teachers and therapists, and  the cost is a reasonable $40 for professionals to make it an affordable choice for school districts.  Teachers will receive credits for attending this conference.
